IPv6 is a new version of the IP protocol that replaced IPv4. IPv6 Tunnel Service can provide> Such services are necessary due to the fact that most Internet providers do not yet provide their users, especially home users, with the corresponding services. To provide IPv6 over IPv4, the 6in4 protocol is used, encapsulating IPv6 packets in IPv4 packets.
Leaving aside the long descriptions of the theoretical and practical differences between IPv6 and IPv4, let's ask ourselves a simpler question: "What can the IPv6 protocol give today to a simple home user?" It would seem, nothing. However, by setting up IPv6 support, you can get several very nice "features" that are not available when using only IPv4.
IPv6 is not needed today, you can do without it for a long time, in Russia no one uses it at all, and all because it is extremely difficult to set up, and in general, to connect IPv6, you need to change all the software and half the hardware, not to mention the Internet provider. All this, of course, is not true. :)
